Favorite Workout Foods
I have recently been working out and trying new ways to be healthy. Since I started doing boxing in September, I started to begin to think that Doritos and Sour Straws on a daily basis shouldn’t be my thing. I didn’t really start eating healthier foods until November, when I realized that I feel really powerful after a workout and shouldn’t eat junk food right after.
What I now do instead is have smoothies or fruit, when I finish a work out, I go to Great Jones Spa where they have a smoothie bar. I get the Mango Tango, but I add protein to keep active. The other thing I get is a Chobani Yogurt, in Soho they have a Chobani store where they make you a Greek yogurt with toppings. I get the fresh fruit and granola, it has agave, raspberries and granola.
By having a healthy snack after a good workout I feel better about what I am eating and I have realized that I can always get better about my health by eating the right way. If you live in a neighborhood where you feel like you don’t have these resources do it at home. Yogurt with Fruit is super simple and if you have a blender, you can easily make a smoothie.
